> Policy Council
Policy Council representatives and alternates are elected by the parent groups of each center during the months of August and September.  During the Policy Council’s annual retreat in October, all members are seated and the members elect officers and four representatives to serve on the Head Start of Greater Dallas Board of Directors. The retreat includes a full day of training on the Policy Council’s role and responsibilities as defined by the Performance Standards.

Policy Council meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Members also invite and elect community representatives to serve on the Policy Council.
