Assisting teachers in the classroom with one or several different activities are greatly needed. Children enjoy company - especially one-on-one attention from adults. We've seen their attention levels rise when guests come in to read or play. Imagine the impact that has on their learning!

Activities you could assist with [but are not limited to]:

Work with children in the classroom - Expand young children's imaginations and literacy skills by reading books out loud. Bring your favorite or choose one of ours from the library. Children love story time! They also love music - sing along during circle time, or bring an instrument to perform your very own concert. Have an artistic side? Paint, craft and inspire! Or get active with the little ones by encouraging exercise and sports.

Help clean the center -
Love to clean? Our centers go through a lot in one day, and could use an extra hand or two to polish the center.

Assist with clerical duties -
Answer phones, file papers, and keep the front desk in check - if you like to help organize paperwork, this is for you!

Tutor parents in reading - Parents need your support to. Our efforts to encourage reading at home would increase if some of our parents could read. Help give them this chance to read to their child.

Assist in the kitchen -
Our kids love their cooks! Help them prepare and serve nutritious meals for breakfast or lunch.

Teach parents computer skills -
We're bridging the technology gap by helping parents learn the basic skills needed to use a computer. If a child sees their parent using one, they will too. [Just like reading!]

Chaperone a field trip -
Explore with our little adventurers and chaperone a field trip to the zoo or arboretum.
